Plans and Billing¶
Daylee offers four plans. The unit of licensing is the Slack workspace - all users within a workspace share the same plan.

Billing is per active user - only members who submitted at least one update in the billing period are counted.
Free Trial¶
Every workspace starts with a 14-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required. During the trial you have access to all Pro features, including unlimited teams, full AI summaries, retrospectives, and availability tracking.
When the trial ends, the workspace automatically moves to the Free plan. All existing data is retained - paid features simply stop being available until you upgrade.
Upgrading to Pro¶
Who can do this: Slack workspace admins and the person who installed Daylee
To upgrade:
Click Upgrade to Pro in the App Home Licensing section, or use
/daylee subscriptionDaylee sends you a checkout link via DM
Complete payment on the secure checkout page (handled by Paddle)
Your workspace is upgraded immediately and Daylee confirms via DM
Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Daylee never handles your payment details directly.
Managing Your Subscription¶
Who can do this: Slack workspace admins and the person who installed Daylee
Use /daylee subscription or the Manage Subscription button in the App Home to:
View your current plan and active user count
Update your payment method
View invoices
Cancel your subscription
Each action provides a secure link via DM to the appropriate management page.
Seat Count¶
Daylee automatically tracks the number of active users in your workspace and adjusts the subscription accordingly. When team membership changes, the seat count is updated and billing is prorated.
Cancellation¶
When you cancel your subscription:
Your workspace enters a 7-day grace period during which all paid features continue to work.
After the grace period, the workspace reverts to the Free plan.
All existing data is retained but becomes subject to Free plan limits (e.g., report history limited to 7 days, maximum 1 team with 5 members).
Workspace admins and the person who installed Daylee are notified via DM.
You can re-subscribe at any time to regain access to paid features and your full data.
Payment Issues¶
If a payment fails, your workspace is marked as past due:
Paid features continue to work while the payment processor retries.
Workspace admins and the installer receive a DM with a link to update the payment method.
If payment is not resolved after all retries, the cancellation process begins.
Enterprise Plan¶
The Enterprise plan is available for organizations that need task tracker integrations (JIRA, Linear, GitHub), unlimited report history, and dedicated support. Contact us for pricing and setup.
Who Can Manage Billing?¶
Billing access is restricted to:
Slack workspace admins and owners - anyone with admin or owner status in Slack
The installer - the person who completed the Daylee installation for the workspace
Team admins within Daylee cannot manage billing - their role is scoped to their specific standup team, not the workspace.
Users without billing access see a read-only plan banner in the App Home showing the current plan and who manages it.
