Reports¶
Reports collect team members’ standup updates and present them in a single, organized summary posted to your team’s Slack channel.
Report Contents¶
Each report includes:
Participation summary - how many members submitted, skipped, or missed their update
Individual updates - each member’s submitted update text
AI summary - an AI-generated overview highlighting key themes, blockers, and achievements
Out-of-office members - who is currently marked as unavailable
Automatic Reports¶
When a report schedule is configured and enabled, Daylee generates reports automatically at the scheduled time. The report collects all updates from the current collection window, generates an AI summary, and posts the result to the team’s report channel.
No manual action is needed - reports appear in the channel on schedule.
On-Demand Reports¶
Who can do this: Team admins
Use /daylee standup to generate a report immediately. Daylee opens a team selector (if you administer multiple teams) and lets you choose to either post to the report channel or preview the report privately (sent to you only).
On-demand reports collect all updates from the current collection window, just like scheduled reports. They are clearly marked as ad-hoc and don’t affect the regular report schedule.
Plan limits: Free plan workspaces can generate up to 3 on-demand reports per month. Pro and Enterprise plans have no limit.
AI Summaries¶
Every report includes an AI-generated summary that analyzes the team’s updates and highlights:
Key themes - common topics and areas of work across the team
Blockers - issues that are slowing progress or need attention
Achievements - completed work and milestones
Patterns - recurring topics or emerging trends
The AI uses the team’s project context (configured in team settings) to produce more relevant summaries. Teams with a well-written project context get significantly better summaries.
Plan differences:
Free plan — basic, shorter AI summaries
Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans — full AI summaries with deeper analysis
Report Channel¶
Reports are posted to the Slack channel configured in team settings. To set or change the report channel, open Team Settings from the team menu in the App Home tab.
Daylee must be a member of the selected channel. If Daylee isn’t in the channel, it will prompt you to invite it.
Report History¶
Past reports can be viewed in the configured report channel where they were originally posted.
History retention by plan:
Free - 7 days
Pro - 90 days
Enterprise - unlimited
Sending Prompts Manually¶
Who can do this: Team admins
Use /daylee prompt to send standup prompts to all team members immediately, regardless of the configured schedule. This is useful for ad-hoc standups or when the schedule needs to be overridden.
