Refund Policy
Effective Date: March 1st, 2026 Last Updated: March 1st, 2026
1. Introduction
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can receive a refund for payments made for Daylee ("Service"), an AI-powered Slack application for asynchronous daily standups, operated by Oleg Malkov, doing business as Daylee.work ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
All payments for the Service are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf.
2. Payment Processor
2.1 Paddle as Merchant of Record
Paddle is the seller of record for all Daylee subscriptions. When you purchase a paid plan, your payment relationship is with Paddle, and all charges will appear on your statement as a Paddle transaction.
2.2 Invoices and Receipts
Paddle issues all invoices and receipts. You can access your billing history through the invoice link provided in your Slack workspace via the /daylee billing command or the App Home billing section.
3. Free Trial
3.1 Trial Period
Every new Slack workspace receives a 14-day free trial of Pro features upon installing Daylee. No credit card is required.
3.2 Trial Expiration
When the trial expires, your workspace automatically downgrades to the Free plan. No charges are made, and no refund is necessary. Your existing data is retained but Pro-only features become unavailable.
4. Money-Back Guarantee
4.1 30-Day Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with Daylee for any reason within 30 days of your first paid subscription payment, you may request a full refund.
4.2 Eligibility
The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to:
- First-time subscribers to a paid plan only
- The initial payment made at the start of the subscription
The guarantee does not apply to:
- Renewal payments (monthly or annual)
- Subscription upgrades or seat quantity adjustments after the initial 30-day period
- Workspaces that have previously received a refund under this guarantee
4.3 How to Claim
To request a refund under the money-back guarantee:
- Contact us at billing@daylee.work within 30 days of your first payment
- Include your Slack workspace name and the email address used for billing
- We will process the refund through Paddle within 5-10 business days
5. Subscription Cancellation
5.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- The App Home billing section in Slack
- The
/daylee billingcommand - Contacting us at billing@daylee.work
5.2 Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel a subscription:
- Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period
- After the billing period ends, a 7-day grace period applies during which Pro features continue to work
- After the grace period, your workspace downgrades to the Free plan
- Your data is retained but Pro-only features become unavailable
5.3 No Partial Refunds for Cancellation
Cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue partial or prorated refunds for unused time remaining in a billing cycle when you cancel mid-period.
6. Per-Seat Billing Adjustments
6.1 Seat Count Changes
Daylee bills per active user. When team membership changes:
- Adding members: Your subscription is prorated immediately for the additional seats
- Removing members: The seat count is adjusted on the next billing cycle
6.2 Proration
Seat additions during a billing period are prorated. The prorated amount covers the remaining time in the current billing cycle and is not refundable.
7. Annual Subscriptions
7.1 Annual Billing
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single payment for the full year at a discounted rate.
7.2 Annual Refunds
- The 30-day money-back guarantee (Section 4) applies to annual subscriptions
- After the 30-day guarantee period, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
- If you cancel an annual subscription, your paid features remain active until the end of the annual billing period
8. Refunds for Service Issues
8.1 Extended Outages
If the Service experiences a significant, continuous outage lasting more than 48 hours, affected paid subscribers may request a prorated credit for the downtime period. Contact billing@daylee.work with details.
8.2 Billing Errors
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly:
- Contact us at billing@daylee.work within 60 days of the charge
- Provide the transaction details and a description of the error
- We will investigate and, if a billing error is confirmed, issue a refund or credit within 5-10 business days
9. Enterprise Plans
Enterprise plan refunds and cancellations are governed by the individual agreement between your organization and Daylee.work. Contact your dedicated account manager or enterprise@daylee.work for details.
10. How Refunds Are Processed
10.1 Refund Method
All refunds are processed through Paddle and returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.
10.2 Processing Time
Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider and financial institution.
10.3 Currency
Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original transaction. Exchange rate fluctuations between the purchase date and refund date are not covered.
11. Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of:
- Abuse of the refund policy (e.g., repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles)
- Violation of our Terms of Service
- Fraudulent activity
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
