App Home

The App Home tab is your Daylee dashboard inside Slack. Open it by clicking on Daylee in the Apps section of your Slack sidebar.

Dashboard Overview

The App Home displays:

  • Quick Actions - buttons for common tasks

  • Pending Updates - standup updates waiting for your response (up to 3 shown)

  • Current Availability - your active out-of-office status, if any

  • My Teams - teams you belong to, with your role and member count

  • Connections - status of linked task trackers (GitHub, JIRA, Linear)

  • Licensing - your workspace’s current plan and subscription status

Quick Actions

Three action buttons are always available at the top:

  • Submit Update - opens the update submission form

  • Create Team - starts the team creation flow

  • Set Availability - opens the availability form

Team Management

Each team card in “My Teams” has an overflow menu with different options depending on your role:

Admin options:

  • Members - view and manage team members

  • Daily Standups - view standup activity

  • Retrospectives - view and generate retrospectives (Pro+ plan)

  • Team Settings - configure the team

Member options:

  • Members - view team members

  • Daily Standups - view standup activity

  • View Reports - access past reports

Connections

The Connections section shows the status of task tracker integrations for your workspace. Each integration displays as a card with its current state:

  • Connected - the integration is active and tracking events

  • Not connected - the integration is available but not set up

From this section, workspace admins can:

  • Connect a new integration (GitHub, JIRA, or Linear)

  • Disconnect an existing integration

  • Update per-user account mapping (e.g., link your Slack user to your GitHub username)

When connected, development activity from these tools is automatically included in standup reports and AI summaries. See Integrations for details.

Connections are an Enterprise plan feature.

First-Time Experience

If you’re new to Daylee and don’t belong to any teams, the App Home shows a welcome screen with:

  • An overview of how Daylee works

  • A step-by-step getting started guide

  • A Create Your First Team button

Plan and Billing

The Licensing section shows your workspace’s current plan. What you see depends on your permissions:

If you can manage billing (workspace admins and the person who installed Daylee):

  • Current plan name, status, and active user count

  • Upgrade to Pro button (if on Free plan)

  • Manage Subscription button (if on a paid plan)

If you cannot manage billing:

  • Current plan name and active user count

  • Who manages billing for the workspace
